Iraq COC certification
All products within the control scope of Iraq's Pre-Import Inspection, Testing and Certification Programme (ICIGI) must be accompanied with Certificate of Conformity (CoC) or Release Note when they are imported into Iraq. The product CONformance certificate is the document required for the clearance of the goods at the customs, which is used for the clearance of the goods at the Iraqi customs.

Iraq COC is a compulsory certification, which is applied by the exporter and used by the importer for customs clearance at the destination port. All products in Iraq's control list must be handled, belong to the one-time customs clearance documents.

The information required for the Iraqi COC is as follows:
1. The packing list
2. Proforma invoice
3. Product test report: there is no need to repeat the test if there is a test report, except for individual products that need to be tested on site
4. Complete the CoC Application Form: The blank application form will be provided by the handling organization
5. L/C copies are also required for payment by L/C

Inspection will be arranged if the inspection is approved, and COC certificate will be issued if the inspection is approved

Matters needing attention
Different from SASO certification of Saudi Arabia and CoC of Syria, Iraq requires re-inspection at the port of destination, including the following:
1. Check the authenticity of the CoC certificate
2. Check whether the goods arriving at the port are consistent with the relevant documents submitted
3. Check the condition of the goods
4. Carry out package inspection on the goods that are required to be opened by Iraqi customs
