Gabon PROGEC certification

Gabon PROGEC certification：
All controlled raw materials and products imported into Gabon from 1 January 2016 (i.e. the date of arrival of goods) will be required to meet the requirements of the Gabon Bureau of Standardization (AGANOR), the Programme for Assessment of Compliance (PROGEC). This means that all controlled products imported into Gabon will be assessed and given a certificate of compliance.

Scope of controlled products:
All regulated products (e.g., machinery, mechanical equipment, electrical and electronic products, building materials, chemical products, medical equipment, nursing and health products, toys, etc.)

Evaluation method:
It is the responsibility of the certification inspection body to ensure the conformity of the goods by means of an applicable assessment mechanism incorporating risk assessment, which may be a combination of one or more of the following assessment methods:
1) Pre-shipment inspection
2) Laboratory sampling, testing and analysis
3) Factory audit
4) Document verification and conformity assessment
